Revesz-Biro refers to artist Emery Revesz and his wife Irma Biro. Revesz became known in Hungary for his photojournalism and studio portraits, and advertising photography. His photojournalism included scenes from the street battles held during the Soviet Republic era, and of the Prime Minister entering the names of war-wounded soldiers into the register of those receiving land reform grants.

Revesz published a successful book of Photo Advertising (1932), and in 1934, moved to the US to pursue a career in advertising for United Artists. His advertising photographs have been published in many fashion magazines, e.g. Harper’s Bazaar.
