Silver Gelatin Print
12 x 16"
Known for her stunning images of the world’s most innovative buildings, Hélène Binet has received widespread attention in recent years for her unique portraits of architectural form. Binet’s first retrospective exhibition, Cornerstone features six major projects by leading architects Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, Dom H. Van der Laan, and Peter Zumthor and spans a decade of work. In the manner of Lucien Hervé before her, Binet’s gift lies in the way she uses the dynamic play of light and darkness to create landscapes of form. (Catalogue available)
Group exhibitions include Museum of Architecture, Stockholm; Cartier Foundation, Paris; Institute of Contemporary Art, London; Architectural Association, London; and Columbia University, New York. Publications include Zaha Hadid’s Tram Station (2002), Zaha Hadid’s Vitra Fire Station (1999), Peter Zumthor: Works (1998), and Daniel Libeskind’s Jewish Museum (1997).
