Tina Itkonen - Inughuit

Inughuit, Tiina Itkonen's first exhibition in the UK is a serene tribute to the Inuit people of Greenland. Itkonen spent four months living with Polar Eskimos in 1995, 1998 and 2002. The images are from her book 'Inughuit' a portrait of the lives and landscapes of modern Polar Eskimos. Born in Helsinki, Itkonen was Finnish Young Photographer of the year 2003 and her work is already held in collections at the Helsinki City Art Museum, The Finnish Museum of Photography and the Modern Museum in Stockholm.
