"This image was taken at Ito, Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. And the exact place is called Jogasaki Coast. Izu Peninsula is very special and different in terms of vegetation and geology. We visited it to work on more images for the Nyx series where we focus on the Earth and “her memories”. We say that Earth keeps a record of everything that has happened in the form of the strata in her soil. That is why we go to places where there are volcanoes or the soil is interesting from the point of view of geology to look for Earth’s memories and in that way, listen to what she wants to tell us". - Albarran Cabrera
