At this year's edition of Frieze Masters, Michael Hoppen Gallery is presenting a carefully curated array of iconic Japanese photographers. With works spanning nearly a century, the dynamic and evolving chains of influence that shaped Japanese photography and beyond are illuminated. Particular highlights include Moriyama Daidō's boundary-blurring techniques and Ishiuchi Miyako's records of the passage of time. Other artists include Hosoe Eikoh, Tōmatsu Shōmei Araki Nobuyoshi, Sato Akira, Kawada Kikuji, and Fukase Masahisa.
