Nobuyoshi Araki, born in Tokyo in 1940, is one of Japan’s most celebrated and controversial contemporary photographers. He is perhaps best known for his obsessive studies of the female form and sexuality, in particular his images of “Kinbaku”, the art of bondage.
One of the artists represented at the Michael Hoppen Gallery booth at this years Zona Maco art fair in Mexico.

SARAH MOON: NOW AND THENRetrospective at Hamburg's Deichtorhallen museum January 20, 2016
With a special focus on the film works, for the first time ever the oeuvre of the photographer Sarah Moon will be presented as a retrospective in the House of Photography at the Deichtorhallen from November 27, 2015, to February 21, 2016. Some 350 photographs and five films allow visitors to immerse themselves in Sarah Moon’s magical world.
